Control Panel Technician
Responsibilities
- Build industrial control panels based on schematic, blueprint, and/or wire diagrams
- Route, label and bundle wires and cables neatly and according to established electrical standards
- Cut, fabricate, and modify electrical enclosures to accommodate devices and equipment
- Energize and test completed control panels
- Inspect finished control panels to verify that all specifications and quality standards have been met
- Assembling finished panels and/or boxes onto machinery
- Assist in assembly of machinery
- Assist in finishing area, I.e Paint/Powdercoat/Black Oxide coatings.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience building and wiring control panels
- Working knowledge of relay logic and electronic controls for industrial equipment
- Reading and understanding electrical schematics, panel layout and CAD drawings
- Understands electrical and electronic symbols – ANSI & IEC
- Maintain working knowledge of electrical standard NFPA 79
- Ability to use hand tools and small power tools to assemble units
- Familiar with pneumatic and hydraulic components
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively without direct supervision
- High school diploma or GED, some college or vocational training a plus
- Ability to lift and move 50+ pounds
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)

- CAD Drawings: 1 year (Preferred)
- Panel Layout Drawings: 1 year (Preferred)
- Hydraulics/Pneumatics: 1 year (Preferred)
- Electrical wiring: 2 years (Required)
- Blueprint reading: 2 years (Required)
- Schematics: 2 years (Required)
