Kalamazoo’s Azon Named One of the “Best Companies to Work For” in the United States in Metal and Glass by US Glass Magazine

Kalamazoo, MI – Azon, a Kalamazoo-based manufacturer of thermal barrier technologies for the aluminum fenestration industry, has been recognized as one of the “Best Companies to Work For” in the US metal and glass industry by US Glass magazine. The honor is featured in the September issue of the national publication.

Founded and headquartered in Kalamazoo since 1977, Azon is an employee-owned company pioneering thermal barrier technologies that improve energy efficiency and reduce the operational carbon footprint of commercial buildings. This recognition highlights both Azon’s leadership in advancing sustainable innovation and the unique structure of its Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). As a 100% employee-owned company, every team member is fully invested in Azon’s success and takes pride in contributing to solutions that make buildings more efficient and sustainable.

“Azon’s employee ownership model has contributed to extremely low turnover rates and fostered a culture of innovation, purpose, and long-term commitment,” said Margaret Roberts, CEO of Azon. “We’re proud to contribute to the growth of Kalamazoo’s manufacturing community and to provide opportunities for talented people right here in Southwest Michigan.”

For decades, Azon has set the industry standard in “pour-and-debridge” thermal barrier technology, which has become the benchmark for high thermal performance windows, doors, curtainwall and storefront systems. Continuing that tradition, Azon recently introduced AzoCore™, a next-generation foam thermal barrier that delivers the lowest U-factor ratings in its class, further strengthening the company’s role as a leader in energy-efficient building technologies.
